A magwell widens the magazine well and chamfers the opening, making the incoming reload more forgiving on the G19 compact frame. The G19 lower frame has different dimensions from the G17, and magwells for the G19 are not interchangeable with G17 magwells. A compatible base pad is required to close the funnel at the bottom.
